Woven labels

Classic elegance and durability for your brand

Jacquard labels, also known as woven labels, are a prestigious solution that stands out for its elegance, durability and high quality. They are created using a weaving technique similar to that used in carpet production – multicoloured threads are interwoven into the fabric to create a designed pattern without any additional backing. Thanks to this unique technology, jacquard labels are uniform, and the patterns and inscriptions become part of the fabric itself, ensuring their longevity and resistance to wear and tear.

Dimensions and finish of jacquard labels

Woven labels can be adapted to different sizes, allowing them to be used on both small accessories and larger textile products. Finishing options include a variety of choices:

  • Hot cutting: Protects edges from fraying, increasing the durability of the label.
  • Folding in halfA popular solution for easily sewing labels onto the edges of garments.
  • With pressed sides: Label with pressed edges, ideal for sewing on, with concealed seams on the sides.
Each design can be tailored to specific requirements to best complement the character of your brand.

Durability and wash resistance

Woven labels are distinguished by their high durability and resistance to intensive use, frequent washing and harsh conditions. This makes them ideal for workwear, outdoor clothing and other products that require high durability. The density of the weave, the quality of the thread and the weaving technology ensure that these labels retain their colour intensity and structure throughout the entire life of the product.

Ideal applications for jacquard labels

Woven labels are perfect as sewn-in labels with a logo or brand name, especially where an aesthetic, prestigious appearance and durability are important. Their convex, three-dimensional effect catches the eye and gives products an elegant look. They are often used on the outside of products such as premium clothing, bags, hats and sportswear. Their durability and elegant appearance make them the perfect choice for brands that want to emphasise their quality and unique character.

Production process and minimum orders

Due to the complexity of the production process, each order for jacquard labels is priced individually. The price depends on several factors, such as the number of colours used, the size of the label, the density of the weave, the quality of the thread and the number of labels of the same design ordered. The minimum order quantity is 500 pieces of the same design, which means that it is not possible to combine different designs to reach the minimum order quantity.

Before commencing production, it is necessary to carry out a paid trial – this is a small batch of labels on tape, which allows us to check whether the final result meets the customer's expectations. This ensures that the final product will be fully consistent with the brand's vision and high quality standards.

Designing jacquard labels

Every jacquard label design begins with thorough consultations to understand the customer's needs and the brand's visual objectives. Once the details have been finalised, our team creates a visualisation of the design, which shows the exact appearance of the label. At this stage, we also advise on the choice of thread, weave density and finishing options to achieve the perfect end result. This approach gives the customer full control over the production process and allows them to make any necessary adjustments before final approval of the design.

Advantages and disadvantages of jacquard labels compared to other technologies

Compared to sublimation printed labelsJacquard labels provide a unique, three-dimensional weaving effect that emphasises the prestige and elegance of the product. However, unlike sublimation, jacquard technology is limited to a few colours and does not allow for the reproduction of very detailed patterns or tonal transitions, which is only possible with sublimation printing.

Compared to thermal transfer labelsJacquard labels are much more durable, resistant to abrasion and washing, making them a better choice for heavily used garments. Thermal transfer offers a quick and inexpensive solution for simple prints, but its durability is limited and the colour options are minimal.

Compared to flexographyFlexography is ideal for single-colour, simple graphics and care labels in mass production, but it cannot match the aesthetics and durability of jacquard. Jacquard labels offer elegance and greater colour possibilities in terms of the number of threads used, allowing for more unique and exclusive designs.

Prices of jacquard labels

The cost of jacquard labels depends on many factors:

  • Label sizeLarger labels require more thread and production time, which affects the price.
  • Number of colours: Each additional thread colour increases the production cost.
  • Thread quality: Threads of varying quality are available, which may differ in price. Choosing high-quality thread affects the durability and aesthetics of the label.
  • Weave densityA denser weave requires more thread and time, which may increase the cost.
  • Finishing options: Different finishing options, such as hot cutting, folding in half or pressing the sides, may affect the final price.

Due to individual customisation to each customer's needs, the price of jacquard labels is determined separately for each project, and the minimum order quantity is 500 pieces of the same design.
